Wash dusting is nothing more than completely submerging all items in a sink or bathtub full of water (items that are safe to rinse, of course). Nowadays, I wash/rinse/dust all knick knacks throughout our home. Then I hand dry each piece or let them air dry on several old towels: make sure that each decorative piece dries completely before returning them to their respectful designation.
For the record, our home stays immaculate using this method, and we are doing less household work on a monthly basis! I promise you it works... I will say that wash dusting thoroughly removes the dust. You can see the dirt and dust going straight down your drain and this cleaning method prevents unwanted dust from layering or blowing from one location to another (which usually occurs with the traditional furniture polish and soft cloth style of dusting). So the choice is yours ~ You can choose to dust often, if you would like, or do wash dusting every two weeks.
For all you home cleaning critics out there -- yes, there will always be dust in your home, office, and car -- but the goal here is to reduce the billions of little mites the best that we can.
